On November 17th, 2022, around 90 people swarmed the hotel of Bái Đính pagoda in Vietnam. Like seeds blowing in the wind, they gathered here to take root and bloom, in an Art of Hosting and Harvesting Conversations that Matter training. This is the 4th training of the Vietnamese field, and the calling question was:
“How can we connect with our collective potential to navigate work and life in this sudden strangeness?”
The question was chosen because the Covid pandemic forced a total pause on the “business as usual” life of us all, and instead of going back to the norm, we wanted to find new ways to live and contribute. Throughout the training, we were reminded of the profound power of conversations. Through dialogue we could connect, learn, and recognize our shared humanity. It didn’t take much to set up a conversation either; a question, some papers, a plant or two, that’s enough. And yet to host a conversation is a life-long practice; a practice that, incidentally, can manifest a life well lived.
This is the harvest of our training. For our participants, we hope it helps you remember the time we had together. And for the newcomers, we hope it intrigues you to join us next time.
