Marjeta NovakMarjeta has been exploring what fosters aliveness in the workplace ever since her first student jobs in Yugoslav times. The shift from the soft-version Communism of ex-Yugoslavia to the turbulent capitalism of newly-born Slovenia sensitised her to the underlying values and concrete practices/systems with which people create places of belonging and contribution – organisations, communities, states, ecologies, families.
When she came across participatory approaches to creating change some 15 years ago, a whole new world opened for her. Using a variety of strength-based approaches, Marjeta now designs experiences in which participants reconnect with their shared humanity, to co-create life-serving solutions. Promoting the power of participatory strategic dialogues, Marjeta serves as the president of the Slovenian Association of Facilitators, as well as the national steward of the Art of Hosting network – a global community that was birthed in her native Slovenia. |
